BADIG at the National Disability Show 2026
Ballymun Active Disability Interest Group (BADIG) was proud to represent the Ballymun community at the National Disability Show 2026, held at the Curragh Racecourse in Co. Kildare.
This important national event brought together organisations, service providers, and individuals from across Ireland, all working towards improving accessibility, inclusion, and opportunities for people with disabilities.
Throughout the day, we engaged with a wide range of attendees, sharing our work in Ballymun and highlighting the real experiences of people with disabilities in our community.
A key highlight was demonstrating the LifeGlider — an innovative assistive mobility device that supports independence and confidence. It was powerful to see people trying it for the first time and experiencing new possibilities in movement and daily life.
We also had the opportunity to meet and speak with public representatives and organisations, discussing the importance of accessible services, community support, and real-life impact.
For us, this was not just about attending an event — it was about ensuring that Ballymun is seen, heard, and represented in national conversations around disability and inclusion.
We are proud to have been part of such a meaningful day and to continue advocating for a more inclusive society.
